Last night had a fabulous meal at the #langhamhotelsydney then made our way to our Observatory tour which was fantastic. We’ve never done this before so learnt lots of new things. Today nice brekkie then a lovely visit to the rocks markets where we saw our beautiful friend Sandrine then a ferry trip home.
Love our fair city of Sydney.🤍

We just had the most amazing couple of nights and full day yesterday in one of our absolutely favourite spots #therockssydney 🙌
we had our wedding anniversary a couple of weeks ago, but this anniversary that we’ve just celebrated was the 10 years before that we went out together before we got married.
Our story started in The Rocks so it’s really special to us and what an amazing place it is especially these days. So much has been restored and explanations of the history exposed.
Thursday night we started off with a great meal at the Hero of Waterloo pub and stayed just down the road in Windmill Street so great proximity to everything as we walked everywhere. Went on a fantastic ghost pub tour run by a brilliant company @lantern_ghosttours. Our host Georgia was so entertaining and knowledgeable about some of the dark history of the rocks and we met some great people on this trip as well.
The tour included visits to the #russellhotelboutiquesydney, theheroofwaterloo and finished off at a fantastic whisky bar #thedosshouse.
yesterday started off with Fab brekkie at the #renaissancepatisserie then a wander around historic areas up to Susannah Place for another fantastic tour about the early wharf history then to look at the archaeological area The Dig.

Fantastic to spend a couple of nights in #therockssydney celebrating our anniversary.
This mural was painted in the 80s by a Sydney artist called Peter Day using our Duralex Paints, my husband‘s family business which we sold about five years ago. My husband‘s father started the company in 1946 in Sydney after the 2nd World War. Great to see that the paintings are still looking fabulous. Spot them opposite the Glenmore Hotel in The Rocks.

This is one of my mugs painted with the image of a #femalesatinbowerbird which unfortunately had a mishap some time ago.
Luckily perfect for my lovely plant 💚

A couple of years ago I had the fabulous opportunity to exhibit some of my paintings in the community cafe called The Sunroom in Hunters Hill which was run by two very lovely gentlemen called Som and Anish.
.
Well, they are now taking over the fabulous bistro in the #northeppingbowlingclub and have kindly asked me again to pop some of my work in there.
I’ve included two of my large paintings which I haven’t shown for awhile and a smaller painting of my King Parrot.
I will be swapping things around and adding some new work including some cockatoo paintings as I believe the cockatoos are quite a loved bird in this gorgeous bushy area.
Hope you can go down and support them with a meal soon.
